The gentle steam of the richly traditional smoke sauna relaxes the body and mind, improves your circulation and puts your thoughts into high gear. It's no wonder that our popular smoke sauna attracts visitors from the entire Äkäslompolo area.

It takes some 5-6 hours, depending on the whims of mother nature,  to heat the smoke sauna. After some three hours of heating the stove stones will glow red. When this glow recedes, the sauna troll throws a bucket of water on the stones to get rid off the remaining carbon monoxide. The sauna will be aired for yet another hour. After this procedure it is time to step in.

In the cosy greatroom of smoke sauna we cater drinks and small snacks as well as special dishes from our smoke sauna menu according to client's needs.

Bathing barrel

With the sauna there is a bathing barrel in whose warm water you can admire the dazzling display of the Northern Lights in the winter sky.
